The Ramadhan in Langkawi

This will be my 12th trips to Langkawi Island over the past 3 years.

It was a trip set out to accompany my partner and short vacation for both of us in this mystical island and my best friend, SY moved there as well eventually.

Going back and forth to Langkawi is always refreshing and each time I will discover something new about the island. Till recently I have decided to blog about this special island.

Geopark Inn Hotel, Pekan Rabu, Kuah, Langkawi

Most of my trips, I spent minimum 4 nights there. Each Time I stayed in a different place and for this time around I stayed in Geopark Inn Pekan Rabu not too far off from the Bazaar Ramadhan and the 100 years old Latuk Gong Temple.

The bonus to travel during Ramadhan are the promotions of the tourist attraction and the Hotels are Cheap. The only problem with this hotel is the parking, because it is near a mosque and a night bazaar therefore they will eventually park at the Hotel Guest Parking Area. Best time to be back in the hotel is around 8pm during Ramadhan Only.

The best part of it, each year when is Ramadhan time (Muslim Fasting Month) I will definitely visit Langkawi for the Bazaar. Many mention and said Oh Langkawi during the fasting month it is so boring but never for me.

In actual fact, Ramadhan in Langkawi is the best time to travel to Langkawi to taste the real Northern Malay Delicacies. From the Apam-Balik to the Ayam Percik and the not forgetting my favorite Gulai Ikan is the best ever dishes to get there.

Ramadhan Bazaar is everywhere in Langkawi but the one I went was in Kuah Town near all the Banks area.

I have finally found where the chinese people hawker stall located. It is called Bukit Indah. The Uncle Char Keow Teow is nice near the cut fruits stall and Near Chung Hwa Primary school there is 2 restaurant name Sunday Bistro and Cups Cafe. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Cups-Cafe/1798865557025838

Sunday Bistro, the Mix Plater Economy set only cost RM 7.00 Pan Mee RM5.00 and many more snacks to serve. We ordered Barley and it cost RM1 per cup.

The Cups Cafe, just recently operates 6 months ago. The spaghetti were Reasonable Price at RM 10 at most and the Tea and Coffee cost RM 6.00. The ambiance was quiet and relaxing and it is a very recommended place to rest and chill. My BFF had a mushroom soup and Chicken Chop. Reasonable price as well.
